"What I want to say is this: - If you logically try to persuade a person that there is no absolute reason for shedding tears, the person in question will cease weeping. That's self evident. Why, I should like to know, should such a person continue doing so?"

"If such were the usual course of things, life would be a very easy matter," replied Raskolnikoff.

If you had to run 26.2 miles....

... what music would you listen to?
I want to download some music before the marathon to keep me motivated and I welcome all suggestions!

Oh, I did the same thing before my last marathon. Some songs that rocked (especially later on in the run): download a military cadence for when you're having trouble finding a stride, Paul Simon's "Obvious Child" can scoot you up a big hill, and there was a song by Eminem about not giving up but I can't remember the name. Oh, and Kanye West's "Golddigger" will make you laugh (which makes you faster) and the "New Workout Plan" by Kanye as well. OH AND Right Said Fred's "I'm Too Sexy" is sooo good when you're feeling like it's all too much and you need to get your groove back on.
I'm so jealous of you right now! You're going to have so much fun. Good luck buddy!

Thanks, supermommy! Kanye West and Eminem: good calls. I should get some Beck, too. Fatboy Slim. Crystal Method. It's going to be a hefty iTunes bill this month!

Good luck Tanis. I know you will do great!
Currently I am loving Alicia Keys - As I am. but not sure how the tempo would be for running. Seal - System is Awesome. Songs 'Amazing', 'The right life', 'Dumb', 'System', 'Loaded' are all great, upbeat running songs. Aw, just get the whole CD. It's fantastic!.
I also like listening to Dragonette - Galore when I am running. They're kinda spunky (and just a titch naughty) try 'Jesus doesn't love me anymore' great running song. Whole CD is great though. And Lenny Kravitz - It's time for a love revolution if you want some rockin' guitar.
