"What I want to say is this: - If you logically try to persuade a person that there is no absolute reason for shedding tears, the person in question will cease weeping. That's self evident. Why, I should like to know, should such a person continue doing so?"

"If such were the usual course of things, life would be a very easy matter," replied Raskolnikoff.

I rebooted my laptop for this?

Currently watching "Kicking and Screaming", a kind of blase version of "Reality Bites" with a wondrously dour feel and many philosophical references as well as painful self-truths. And lots of smoking. I would like to know which movie came first, though am not sufficiently curious (or motivated) to find out this information on the internet. I'll put it on my to-do list. No, wait. I will put it on your to-do list.
Two lines that I hope to use before I die:
1) "I hope you don't mind that I took my shirt off."
2) "Come on, get romantically self-destructive with me."
